Questions about receipts
Is a receipt a tax invoice?
No. It confirms money received - the amount, the method and the reference. If the customer needs a tax invoice, issue one as a separate document.
Does a receipt need a number?
Receipts in Lettr carry the payment reference you enter, such as the invoice being paid. They stay outside the invoice and credit-note sequences.
Can I confirm a cash payment on the spot?
Yes. Pick cash as the method, fill in what was paid for, and export a PDF the customer can keep.
What can I export?
PDF and DOCX, from the same layout shown in the preview.
