Questions about credit notes
When do I issue a credit note instead of changing the invoice?
When the invoice has already gone out. A credit note corrects it with a paper trail: the original stays, and the credit references it with its own CN number.
Does a credit note reverse the VAT?
It lists the same tax rates per line so your records stay consistent, but Lettr does not decide VAT treatment for you. If the amounts are material, confirm with your accountant.
How are credit notes numbered?
From a credit-note sequence on your company, separate from invoices, so every correction has a unique number.
What can I export?
PDF and DOCX, from the same layout shown in the preview.
